Coach Hunter
Leslie Hunter is an executive and organizational coach whose work is grounded in both rigorous academic training and decades of lived leadership experience. She brings together formal study in executive coaching, leadership theory, and organizational development with more than 25 years in leadership, business development, entrepreneurship, and the creative sector.
"My work sits at the intersection of leadership, learning, and creativity. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts, executive coach training from Royal Roads University, and years of experience as an entrepreneur, consultant, and art professional, I bring both structure and imagination to the coaching process."
At Hunter Coaching and Consulting, Leslie partners with entrepreneurs and leaders, particularly women and equity-minded change-makers, who want their impact to be both effective and deeply authentic. Drawing on evidence-based executive coaching methods, systems thinking, art-based inquiry, and somatic awareness, she helps clients work with patterns such as imposter syndrome, overextension, and self-doubt in ways that build real confidence, clarity, and strategic focus.
Leslie holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Alberta and a Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching from Royal Roads University, and she is a Certified Executive Coach and Associate Certified Coach (ICF). She is currently completing her Master of Arts in Executive and Organizational Coaching, further deepening her understanding of leadership dynamics, organizational complexity, and developmental coaching practice.
Her coaching is informed by a diverse professional background that includes work as a personal trainer, art consultant, and multi-venture entrepreneur. This combination of academic study and real-world leadership gives her a rare ability to bridge inner work and practical action, supporting clients in conversations that honour the whole person while staying grounded in the realities of running businesses, leading teams, and navigating stakeholder dynamics.
Leslie’s work is rooted in the belief that when leaders are resourced, self-aware, and aligned with their values, they make better decisions, communicate more clearly, and create healthier, more effective teams. This translates directly into tangible outcomes: improved focus and resilience, stronger stakeholder relationships, more thoughtful strategic choices, and cultures where people can do their best work.
If you are a leader or entrepreneur who cares about both people and performance and you’re ready to reduce friction, unlock capacity, and move more decisively toward what matters, Leslie offers tailored coaching that connects inner clarity with real-world results. Reaching out is the first step toward a more grounded, effective, and sustainable way of leading for yourself and your organization.

Testimonials
"Your guidance was invaluable in helping us identify and define both our personal and company core values. Through the 360-degree evaluation process, we gained clarity on our strengths, areas for growth, and performance goals—insights that were reinforced by feedback from our colleagues and collaborators."
- S. Bonet, Principal Architect, Finlayson Bonet Architecture
"Leslie came into my life with perfect timing. She has been teaching me to see “me" in my human/personal role and in my professional role. Together, we are creating practices that I can use in my everyday life, focusing on accepting that I carry a lot. Whether it’s taking on tangible items or emotions, I am learning a balance while working closely with 80+ people. I hold expectations that were set by my previous generation in high regard, while I accepted the high standards I struggle not expecting the same from the next generation. Setting expectations in others and myself will be my next goal once we have comfortably reached our current goal."
- Project Manager, Victoria BC
"I appreciated that you are guiding the world while simultaneously showing your trust in me to navigate it the way I want. You mentioned a couple of sessions ago, this isn't having an "accountability" coach, while that is great, it was never really what I needed, Instead, you get me thinking differently, and you pivot when there is a "dead end." I really appreciate that about you."
- Emily Olsen, Consultant | Facilitator | Producer
"Working with Leslie was and is exactly what I needed. She has a very special gift of intuitively knowing how to ask the right questions to unleash limiting beliefs. I am beyond grateful for her help and patience and can recommend her as a coach."
- CEO & Co-Founder in Culture and Arts Sector
“Leslie guided me in self-identifying how I successfully overcame previous challenges, and in leveraging these assets against my current difficulties. Her insight and thoughtful questioning allowed me to gain perspective, free myself from the rut in which I was stuck, and resume my journey with renewed purpose and optimism.”
- Richard Cane, Atlas Information Management
“Leslie, during our sessions, you gently nudged me back toward my values to find the part of myself that I had lost. You helped me refocus and regain my confidence. I had started to drown in overwork and other people’s/business priorities and lost sight of my own. I am forever grateful for your mindful questions, your calm demeanour and your skilled reflections and observations. Thank you, sincerely.”
- Manager, BC Government
